Get a Job Selling Cars

The days of having a job or career with one company for your entire work life are gone for the most part because things are changing and the economy is evolving. Unlike years ago things change at a very rapid pace which can be very difficult for some people because they can find themselves out of a job because companies closing, merging and outsourcing. The hard part is where a person finds a job that will earn them a similar income to a position they have been in for years. Rather than start a new vocation that will pay you substantially less than you were making at your old job you should consider a job selling cars.
Hear me out, you might not think that selling cars for a living is a great career, but if that is the case you aren't familiar with the earning potential and the requirements of being a car salesman. There are probably millions of people that have worked at a company and advanced through the ranks to the point where they are making 50, 60 or $70,000 a year and then they lost their job. After searching for work they realize that they can't find a position that pays them what they were making and they accept a position that pays less than they are used to making. You might be surprised to find out that a good car salesman earns $100,000 a year or more. The best part is they didn't have to spend decades to reach that level of income; in fact they can do it less than a year and sometimes a matter of months.
Almost Anyone Can Get a Job Selling Cars
Obviously a job selling cars is not for everyone, but I have worked with people from all walks of life, with all types of non sales experience and ages from 20 to 60 years old that have made a successful career as a car salesman. Don't get me wrong I am not saying that everyone can be a successful automobile salesperson, but some of the people that make very good money in car sales are the last people you would expect to succeed in the auto sales field.
Requirements of a Job Selling Cars
The field of car sales has changed over the last several years and many of the dealerships have realized that the stereotypical sales person of the past is not what they are looking for today. They want good hard working people that are unfamiliar with the tactics of the past because the consumer is smarter today. They don't want slick, fast talking and sneaky people, they want fresh people without the bad habits that the salesman of the past uses when selling automobiles. A new salesman will be trained and mentored to the new style of selling which is more of a consultative approach rather than the high pressure tactics of the past. So experience is not a roadblock when it some to getting a job selling cars. No college degree is required and the earning potential is practically unlimited. Age is not a factor as long as you can talk to people, use a pen and present yourself in a professional manner. When you find yourself in that place where you need to find a new vocation you should seriously consider getting a job selling cars.
